National Insurance Brokerage of New York, Inc. (NIBONY) is a full-service Insurance Brokerage whose primary mission is to provide the best insurance service and expertise possible to our clients. We are an independent insurance agent, which means our business is to serve our clients, not the insurance carriers.  We help our clients protect themselves, their businesses, and their families by offering the best insurance expertise and solutions available and have been for more than 25 years.

Founder story:

About 30 years ago, Frank Cormio’s insurance career began as a salesman for “Davis, Dorland & Co.” located in the heart of Manhattan. Only 2 years after getting his start in the industry, the agency was sold and Frank was forced to pivot. He decided to start his own agency with a partner, George Wagner, and brought his personal friend, Drew Muller, on board as well to test his abilities in business ownership. Frank thrived under the pressure of being out on his own, and after spending 4 years learning the industry top to bottom and gaining real hands-on experience in owning an agency he decided it was time to open his very own agency and do things his way. He came up with a name, brought on Drew to be his Executive Vice President,

and NIBONY was born!

Since our inception in September of 1995, we have grown to offer insurance solutions for businesses of all sizes as well as individuals. We are licensed to sell both Property and Casualty insurance as well as Life and Health. With the help of our strong, quality, hard-working staff, a creative approach to solving our clients’ problems, and an aggressive sales strategy, we have grown from nothing to over Sixty (60) Million dollars in written premium and have never looked back.
